Heat Pump Loan Program
 You've heard about the new, improved electric heat pumps and their great efficiency. If the upfront costs have put you off, now is time to reconsider: Broad River Electric Cooperative can finance the installation of your new heat pump at the low interest rate of 7.5 percent APR. We even help you find a heat pump dealer.
To qualify for a heat pump loan, you must be a Co-op Member-Owner, own your home and use this home as your primary residence. If your primary residence is a manufactured home, you must own the land as well. The loan is secured with a lien on the property.
We offer loans up to $5000 for one heat pump and up to $7500 for two heat pumps. There is a limit of $3000 financing on manufactured housing.
Getting your loan is easy. Just fill out and submit a credit application to us. Once approved, you can have one of our approved heat pump dealers install a heat pump with a SEER value (efficiency rating) of 13 or higher. Once the heat pump is installed, the loan is closed and the payment is then conveniently added to your power bill.
You can't go wrong with an energy-efficient electric heat pump in your home. Cooling and heating with an electric heat pump is less costly than other alternative systems.
