Each year at the end of our Annual Meeting, we award a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school senior. A parent or guardian must be present at the meeting to register for the scholarship and to accept the award.

Washington Youth Tour
Once a year, Broad River Electric makes it possible for two or three high school juniors to join dozens of other South Carolina students as part of the Washington Youth Tour—a six-day, all-expenses-paid educational trip to Washington, DC. More than 1,000 high school students, all sponsored by electric cooperatives from throughout the United States, get a first-hand look at our government in action—both what it has done and what it is doing.

High school juniors who'd like to apply for the Electric Cooperative Washington Youth Tour should call toll-free (866) 687-2667 -- or 489-5737 in Cherokee County -- for more information.
